Job Description:

Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm)

***Flexibility with hours - may be required to work odd hours

• Assists with regulatory surveys and legal investigations. 
• Conducts walking rounds throughout all areas of the facility.
• Facilitates patient/family conferences with physicians and hospital staff to assist in conflict resolution.
• Evaluates charts for appropriateness of care as assigned by the Director of Risk Management.
• Assists with reviewing, investigating, and following up on voluntary incident reporting events.
• Processes appropriate events through the Root Cause Analysis process and compiles risk reduction strategies to prevent similar occurrences.
• Develops educational in-services for employees and physicians on pertinent Risk Management issues identified through tracking and trending of events and in accordance with regulatory agencies.

Education:

• Associate's in Nursing [Required]

• Bachelor's in Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ years acute nursing care experience [Required]

• 1+ years risk management experience [Preferred]

• 2+ Acute nursing care experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]

• Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Management Certification (CPHRM) [Preferred]
