VICTR
Job Summary:
Mobile Application Developer - VICTR
JOB SUMMARY
In your role as a Mobile Application Developer, you will work on the mobile application MyCap, which is a platform developed by VUMC to capture patient reported outcomes via mobile devices. Researchers at VUMC and participating institutions use the MyCap server module to customize the MyCap mobile app to fit the specific requirements of their research project. You will also work on the REDCap Mobile App (RMA), which is a tool for data collectors needing to capture data offline, where data can be collected on the REDCap Mobile App on a mobile device or tablet and then synced back to a REDCap server.
The person in this position will be a mobile developer, initially responsible for maintaining and growing the existing MyCap application and RMA powered by the Flutter cross-platform framework, using modern software engineering practices. Further down the line you will be tasked in joining the effort in planning and developing new app functionalities and complex interactions between the apps and the wider REDCap ecosystem.
Our applications are continually evolving to incorporate more data sources and provide greater utility, requiring flexible software architecture and the ability to rapidly refactor/modernize. As a mobile application developer, you will work with stakeholders to define specifications, as well as collaborate with peers to integrate systems and build shared codebases. Our goal is always to produce software befitting a leading medical institution - clean, maintainable, and efficient behind the scenes; responsive, intuitive, and beautiful for the end user.
