Provide care and safety for patients in a supportive team environment.
This position supports our Bridge Program. The employee will go over to the inpatient Pysch departments multiple times a week to connect with patients who are being discharged and scheduled for continuity in our clinic.
Additionally, this position will cover desk work-phones, check-in/check-out, obtaining patient vitals, help with prior authorizations, and more.
Hours: 40/week ? Days: 8am-430p ? No holidays or weekends
Preferred: CNA, MHT, Nurse Assistant, or PCT experience

Wohl Clinic serves a diverse adult socioeconomic population from the metropolitan St. Louis and surrounding areas.¿ The Psychiatry Clinic provides Psychotherapy and Medication management to established adult patients with serious mental illness requiring symptom management.¿ All Medical care is given by third year residents under the supervision of the Medical Director and the Washington University Medicine School faculty. Patients are seen on a regularly scheduled appointment basis.¿ Services are provided by professional personnel in nursing, diagnostic laboratories, social services, pharmacy, and patient education.¿ Admissions to 3-Wohl are by referrals which are generated by discharging physicians from In-patient Psychiatry or from the Psychiatry resident, in the Emergency Room.¿ Established patients with urgent needs are screened for acuity and referred to the ER as needed.

Role Purpose
Responsible for performing necessary services in caring for the personal needs, comfort and treatment of psychiatric patients under the direction of the registered nurse.
Responsibilities
Assists patients with daily hygiene including personal care direction, assists with physical activity, meets patients? nutritional needs, and documents activities as required.
Implements direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse.
Assists nurses with admissions and discharges, and assists nurses and doctors with treatments, procedures and examinations.
Performs general clerical tasks.
Collects and records specimens, including phlebotomy.
