The Manager of Behavioral Health Services works collaboratively with the Director and Mental Health & Well-Being (MH & WB) leadership to carry out MH & WB Service Line goals. Ensures consistent standards of practice and models best practice behaviors. Manages staff and holds staff accountable to department goals and KPI?s. Manages staff schedule, Kronos, staff FMLA, progression, trainings for licensure and WakeMed required trainings. Addresses patient and family/loved ones/hospital concerns/issues/complaints. Recruits and orients staff and performs their annual performance evaluations. Maintains clinical competency and serves as clinical resource to MH & WB staff and to the physician and leadership of WakeMed. Collaborates with physicians, nursing, members of the interdisciplinary team, PFS, Patient Access, revenue Cycle, and other departments, to ensure that services are being provided in a timely/quality manner and to ensure coordination between departments and to improve resource utilization. In collaboration with the Director, manages oversight of the Behavioral Health Clinical Service?s revenue and expenses and ensures adherence to the budget, identifying cost saving opportunities to meet staffing and resource needs.
