Summary:
Transcribes a variety of information to be entered into patient medical records.
Responsibilities:
1. Detects and resolves problems by contacting physicians for clarification of dictation and researches appropriate databases for information validation 2. Interprets and reviews health care provider dictation for accuracy, consistency and completeness, using correct medical terminology and phraseology according to departmental quality standards. 3. Sets up, operates and disengages dictation systems and other software as appropriate to transcribe and validate dictated medical information 4. Transcribes large volumes of data from dictation by healthcare providers in various specialty medical and clinical areas such as medicine, surgery, ENT, etc., according to departmental standards

Other information: Education Requirements: ? Associate's degree in Business Administration, Secretarial Science or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience). Licensure/Certification Requirements: ? No licensure or certification required. Professional Experience Requirements: ? If an Associate's degree: One (1) year of secretarial/administrative support experience. ? If a High School diploma or GED: Three (3) years of secretarial/administrative support experience.
