Schedule: Full-time 40 hours/week nights (4-10 hour shifts 7p-5a); No weekends/no holidays

Location:  UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale Hospital, Medical Surgical/Neuro/Oncol/ Tele/Cardiol, 120 N Oak Street, Hinsdale, IL

The role you’ll contribute:

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates educational activities planning for an assigned service or population

The value you’ll bring to the team:

·       Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess learning needs and competencies.

·       Develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.

·       Identifies and/or develops teaching tools and instructional materials.

·       Keeps records of educational activities and prepares reports.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

EDUCATION:

·       Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

·       BSN preferred, MSN strongly preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

·       5 years of experience in hospital setting on medical surgical unit or similar preferred.

·       Previous nurse educator experience in critical care/medical surgical/telemetry preferred.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION:

·       Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

·       Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

·       Basic Life Support (BLS) credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
