Multiple Positions - Perform complex laboratory test procedures on patients of all ages, from neonate to the elderly, to obtain information for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, following written testing procedures. Question unusual test results and combinations and investigate prior to issuing results. Respond appropriately to all critical test results. Perform and review all quality control results before releasing patient results and record same. Perform instrument PMs as indicated and handle all specimens as biohazardous, using PPE as appropriate. Expected to review any procedural / policy change and attend scheduled staff meetings as well as participate in orientation of new personnel and students and complete continuing education per year.
