Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking per diem Nursing Assistants for the Gagnon 5 Department in Morristown Medical Center to work 7PM - 7:30AM including every other weekend.
Responsibilities
Essential Function/Responsibilities:
- Supporting nursing personnel in providing direct patient care
- Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing and feeding
- Measuring and recording vital signs
- Administering basic treatments
- Helping to ensure a safe care environment
- Continuous rounding throughout shift to ensure patient and family needs are met
- Ensuring patients and families have a positive patient experience by exhibiting PRIDE behaviors, rounding, collaboration, teamwork and a positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and have positive customer service skills
- Communicate with patients, families and health care team in a clear, compassionate and empathetic manner
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
Minimum Experience:
- 1 year of Acute Care, Long Term Care, or Rehab experience as a Nursing Assistant in a Hospital setting or have gone through clinicals.
- Experience with ADL
License/Certifications:
- BLS Preferred
- CNA preferred
