Morristown Medical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System,is seeking a Part-Time Nutritionist for the Ped Hematology/Oncology Unit working primarily 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM; including weekends.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
Perform nutrition assessments and develop nutrition plans,(using Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process) for children with hematological and ontological diagnosis
Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team participating in daily rounds to implement care plans that are patient and disease specific for all patients treated in the Valerie Center
Provide evidenced based medical nutrition therapy including enternal and paternal nutrition.
Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Nutrition is required.
Related Experience:
Must be a registered Dietitian/Nutritionist in accordance with the CDR.
Certified Specialist in Pediatrics (CSP) and or Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) is preferred.
High level of customer service, attentiveness, and consideration to patient care.
Minimum of 2 years experience in Pediatrics is required.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
