Atlantic Health System is seeking 3 per diem Unit Associates for Gagnon 3 Pulmonary Unit at Morristown Medical Center to work varied shifts including 3 weekend shift in a 28 day.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Answering phones
Answering and responding appropriately to call bells
Greeting patients and families
Assisting charge nurse with bed management and bed assignments
Patient chart maintenance
Helping to ensure a safe care environment
Continuous rounding throughout shift to ensure patient and family needs are met
Ensuring patients and families have a positive patient experience by exhibiting PRIDE behaviors, rounding, collaboration, teamwork and a positive attitude
Good communication skills
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have positive customer service skills every aspect of their job.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
HS diploma or GED is required
Minimum Experience:
Experience in a hospital or medical office setting and medical terminology knowledge.
The candidate must have excellent customer service skills and telephone etiquette.
The position is for Per Diem with varying shifts (days and evenings) including weekends (four weekend shifts) and holidays based on the unit's needs.
Must be available to attend at least four weeks or more of training during the days and evening hours, as well as weekends.
