Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full Time Food Service Manager for the Food Service Department at Newton Medical Center. This person will plan, organize, and administer the clinical and non-clinical operational areas of the food and nutrition services provided for patients, team members, volunteers, and visitors in accordance with professional standards.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Supervise all clinical and non-clinical team members of the departments of Food and Nutrition.
Leads people toward meeting the organization's vision, mission, and goals.
Provides an inclusive workplace that fosters the development of others, facilitates cooperation and teamwork, and supports constructive resolution of conflicts.
Delegates assignments, clarifies expectations, and holds others accountable for achieving results related to their area of responsibility.
Encourages workforce engagement by building a commitment to excellence, and working collaboratively toward solutions that accomplish organizational goals.
Effectively recruits, selects, hires, coaches, and uses appropriate corrective actions with staff in accordance with AHS policies and procedures.
Provides staff with accurate annual performance feedback, and encourages them to celebrate successes, express concerns, and identify opportunities for improvements.
Implements strategies to improve team member satisfaction inclusive of strategies to involve team members in decision making.
Cost/Budget:
Directs department operations on a continuous basis and advises management on operational and functional improvement opportunities.
Ensures that budget monitoring processes are in place and that appropriate action plans are established to address variances outside of established parameters.
Identifies and implements ways to reduce and control expenses as well as enhance revenues in the hospital and assigned areas.
Service:
Focuses staff on continuously building customer satisfaction for patients, physicians, colleagues, the community, and other departments served.
Engages staff in continually raising the bar in service excellence.
Regulatory/Accreditation:
Maintain familiarity with applicable rules, regulations, and accreditation issues.
Participates in activities designed to monitor and improve compliance.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
