Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Clinician for Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Morristown Medical Center to work varied shifts including weekends as required by department.
Responsibilities
Coordinates all aspects of patient psychosocial needs in conjunction with interdisciplinary treatment team.
Completes psychosocial history and supplements additional information to data base.
Implements and facilitates treatment plan. Identifies barriers to learning and addresses patient educational needs.
Employs appropriate, as needed, one to one patient and family contact.
Conducts therapeutic groups appropriate to inpatient setting.
Consistently documents, implements, and facilitates aftercare plans.
Provides patient and family with information of post hospital options.
Obtains necessary consent for referral process.
Arranges appointments with aftercare facilities or individual providers.
Initiates transfers and relates guidelines for transfer to nursing staff.
Facilitates conversion of voluntary status to involuntary commitment, coordinates with appropriate Social Service agencies for placement in alternate facilities.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
Masters in Social Work
License/Certifications:
LSW/LCSW required
BLS
Relevant Experience:
1 year of experience/clinical rotation preferred
