Understand neurologic symptoms and 'red flags'to report
Order and schedule any additional imaging studies with appropriate departments; MRI, Vascular, CT, PFTs
Coordinate infusions and intrathecal chemotherapy
Understanding primary drugs : Temozolomide, Procarbazine, CCNU, Vincristine, and Avastin
Understand treatment plans and monitoring for temozolomide,PCV, CCNU, and Avastin
Comfortable teaching treatment plans and chemotherapy to patients/families
Work collaboratively with Social Worker/Neurosurgical team to engage patients and families
Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.
Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
RN position will lead daily clinics, collaborating with provider and support staff responsible for medication pre-authorizations, disability paperwork, triaging patients
High School diploma or GED required
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required
Masters Degree preferred
Experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred
Outpatient nursing experience preferred
Oncology and/or Neurology experience preferred
Valid New Jersey Nursing License Required
BLS Certification Required
OCN Specialty Certification Preferred
Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
