Job Summary:

The Emergency Department Technician (EMT) is trained to provide limited patient care. He/she must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in diverse situations. He/she works under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Training and Experience:

Mandatory:

Current EMT Certification with recent ambulance or hospital experience

Current CPR Certification

Non-violent crisis intervention within three months of hire and re-certification every year thereafter

Preferred:

Basic ECG class

ACLS

Computer literate
