The Health Science Program Specialist is located in the Research Service at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center Performs work in establishing the policies and procedures by which the program will be judged. Establishes program and evaluation goals and objectives and identifies results indicative of successful program accomplishments. As senior specialist, establishes review policies and criteria covering multiple or broad programs. Develops new and improved policies and procedures. Responds to inquires from the field regarding program evaluation. Uses program evaluation data to make programmatic and policy determinations. Manages implementation, control and reporting on program evaluation data. Manages data collection and monitoring protocols for program evaluation. Administers or monitors administration of test and measurements required by project design. Records data from samples to insure that all tracking data is organized and is monitored during the progress of the program evaluation. Conducts program assessments and prepares reports necessary to program continuity and reporting. Identifies problem and negotiates corrective action concerning programmatic issues.
