This position, under the direction of the Sr. Director of MSK Program Implementation, will plan, organize and manage activities related to the implementation of new programs, services lines, and or adding new procedures to existing service lines. This position will also participate in the overall quality and continuous process improvement for SLSG implemented programs and assist, as needed, in the development of clinical content to include staff and patient education.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with establishing and implementing programs related to new service lines in the field.
- Possess knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for providing the full continuum of planned care as it is related to the care of the peri-operative patient.
- Participate in establishing appropriate program content, related policies and procedures, staff competency material, and patient educational materials. Update content as needed
- Participate in developing and managing project plans to realize all opportunities and impact to all stakeholders.
- Work closely with physician advisors and others to continue to enhance USPI�s service line programs.
Qualifications:
- Education: BS from an accredited school of nursing
- Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse
- Work Experience: 5-10 years of work experience in peri-operative nursing including management at an ASC.
FOUNDATIONAL SKILLS:
- Must be an RN with critical thinking skills with ASC clinical and management experience.
- Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills with attention to details.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all care providers along the planned care continuum and to foster collaboration.
- Assists in the development of other programs that facilitate the transition of surgical cases from the in-patient to the outpatient surgical setting.
- Ability to read, analyze, and summarize general medical and business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clinical care team and other health care providers.
- Passion for high quality patient care.
- Must have a deep understanding of the short-stay surgery business and surgical operations.
- Must have experience necessary to assist in continuous quality improvement processes as a resource to the facility.
- Assists with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and case studies as needed.
- Is flexible, reliable, productive, patient-oriented, and able to multi-task and is self-motivated.
- Demonstrates ability to work as a team member and to communicate directly and professionally.
- Maintains professional conduct and appearance.
- Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel
- Conversational knowledge of related business terms.
