Chief Financial Officer

Pender Community Hospital District, an actively growing healthcare organization, has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Chief Financial Officer to join our team.

The Chief Financial Officer will have overall responsibility for all financial operations of the hospital district, including direct reports, budget, audit, and tax filings. The Chief Financial Officer will work with the leadership team to develop and implement short-term and long-range objectives to maximize patient care and financial well-being. This position will also collaborate with the district’s administration team working together to fulfill the mission of providing a continuum of exceptional healthcare services in a healing environment for everyone.

Hours: Salary/Exempt Position
Wage: Competitive, based on experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and oversee financial analysis, forecasting, and decision support activities
- Identify, evaluate and make recommendations on strategic business opportunities
- Develop, implement and oversee financial operating systems, processes, and controls

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience
- Master's degree in accounting, health care administration, business or related field
- 5 - 7 years of experience in operational/strategic planning
- 5 - 7 years of experience in a management position
- Prior hospital accounting experience preferred
- Critical Access Hospital experience preferred
- CPA license preferred
