POSITION SUMMARY (General statement reflecting the overall purpose of the position) Working lead, coordinates the scheduling and efforts of the Radiology Techs. Performs a variety of radiological procedures. Responsible for on-call procedures when indicated. In Absence of Supervisor/Director, this position oversees the Radiology Department to ensure that the unit is operating efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications: MINIMUM EDUCATION: Completion of JRCERT approved formal program in Radiologic Technology. PREFERRED EDUCATION: MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: One - two years radiology experience with demonstrated leadership skills. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Three years radiology experience with demonstrated leadership skills. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Currently Certified and Registered in Radiography R.T. (R)(CRT). CPR. REQUIRED COURSE(S) TRAINING: PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: SPECIAL SKILLS: Excellent verbal communication skills necessary to understand oral and written instructions stated in radiological and medical terms and to exchange information with patients and staff. Problem solving skills. SUPERVISES: Functional supervision will be exercised over area staff, students, and ancillary personnel.
