Schedule: Full-time, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday

Under the supervision of Behavioral Health Administrative Manager and Administrator of the Residential Treatment center, the Supply Management and Food Service Worker-BH receives and serves meals to Residential Treatment Center (RTC) youth and Inpatient Psychiatric patients.
Supply Management Duties: Maintains and replenishes food supplies in all kitchens, orders and maintains food supply for daily use, and puts away all items when received. Rotating dated perishables and eliminating all outdated items.
Meal Administration: Ensures meal preparation is completed by receiving and unloading food carts in preparation for meals. Loads and sets up food into thermal carts; ensures accuracy of items on trays to be consistent with meal ticket when loading and setting up food into thermal carts. Reports inaccuracies to vendor and works with them on solution, if needed. Coordinates the special dietary needs with Nurses to ensure dietary requirements are met. Ensures special dietary items received for patients determined by dietitian and nurse.
USDA Compliance: Follows established USDA menus for breakfast, lunch and snack. Ensures menus meet USDA requirements. Completes all USDA counts for daily breakfast, lunch and snack, per regulations. Works with vendors to ensure items on menus are available as needed. If not purchases items from outside vendors.
Accreditory/Regulatory Compliance: Completes and logs daily refrigerator temperatures per Joint Commission guidelines and takes initiative to correct if temperature is out of approved range.
Environment of Care: Maintains and replenishes dining supplies and floor stock. Works with EVS to ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and in working condition.
Communication: Communicates the menu selection with the food provider via phone/scan, or email to validate the menu selections have been received. Receives inpatient food delivery, prepares trays for serving, and serves patient. Retrieves patient trays post meal. Communicates patient nutritional intake to the nurse.
Completes food service catering orientation and education as indicated by director(s).
Establishes and maintains a safe environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, positive patient and family interaction, and ethical behavior.
Other Duties: This job description incorporates the essential functions and duties required for this position. However, other duties may be required and assigned at times and as determined by a supervisor in order to meet the needs of the organization.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Knowledge of State and County Sanitation regulations concerning facilities, equipment, and utensils. Knowledge of operation and maintenance of dish machine, ovens, freezers, and refrigeration. Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner. Ability to multi-task while maintaining quality standards.
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Previous work experience in food services, preferred.
Douglas County Food Handlers Card, preferred.
Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
