Under general direction of Patient Representative Coordinator, performs work of significant difficulty at BTNRH and all satellite clinic locations, including the appointments and scheduling of patients and providers. Will utilize the electronic record system to conduct procedures of registration, scheduling, filing, scanning, insurance, payments and other significant front desk functions. Will adhere to established Clinic Standards policy to promote consumer satisfaction and a positive work environment as well as cross train to other clinic locations for adequate staff coverage.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
1) High school diploma or equivalent, required, 2) minimum of two years experience in medical front desk or hospital setting, preferred, 3) must have knowledge of medical terminology, 4) must be able to maintain complex/confidential records, 5) knowledge of computerized scheduling and insurance payors, preferred, 6) must have ability to type 30 wpm, 7) must have excellent communication and human relation skills, 8) previous working knowledge of using a personal computer and electronic medical records.
