A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) dependently provides nursing care to assigned youth in the unit at the direction of the registered nurse or the licensed practitioner through application of the nursing process and the execution of diagnostic or therapeutic regimens prescribed by licensed practitioners. This position works collaboratively with all members of the treatment team and adheres to the implementation of the treatment plan.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
A licensed practical nurse (LPN) who is a graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing with a current state license
Previous Behavioral Health nursing experience, preferred
Requires demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, teaching ability, and willingness to be flexible in scheduling
Must be CPR (BLS) certified
Must be trained in the programs nationally approved personal restraint model.
