We currently have a position available for a Full Time Therapist at Del Amo Hospital. Del Amo Hospital is a 166-bed behavioral health facility that is located in Torrance, California.
This position assists in coordinating and implementing clinical and program activities, and assists the Program Director and work with multi-disciplinary team to plan, monitor and evaluate the care provided to the patients on the unit. The Therapist will provide group and individual therapy and document appropriately within a timely manner. Therapist may also assist in the integration of the social services functions in patient care, which may include discharge planning and home planning process with other hospital departments, external service organizations, agencies and health care providers.

Trained and/or Certified in Trauma Focused Therapies such as EMDR, CPT, PE, TF-CBT, etc.,
Must have extensive history working with trauma population/PTSD diagnoses
Provides group and individual therapy and documents appropriately within a timely manner
Serves as a clinical resource person to the staff members and works closely with treatment team to identify needs.
Assist Program Director with planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the care given to patients on the unit.
Contributes to clinical program development and patient handbook material.
Develops materials for didactic groups.
Understands and is able to orient each patient to the program schedule, guidelines and the unit as needed.
Utilizes clinical skills to communicate effectively with patients and to facilitate group interactions and socialization.
Utilizes clinical skills to focus on patient issues/dynamics and group/family process; provides family therapy and/or involves family in treatment as appropriate
Maintains healthy emotional boundaries with patients and addresses issues of transference effectively
