Boys Town National Research Hospital is seeking a Director of Child/Adolescent In-Patient Services to be a part of a nationally recognized system for treating children and adolescents experiencing mental health problems. Anticipating a September 2019 opening of a state-of-the-art in-patient facility and launch of a new treatment program using Boys Town nationally established psychoeducational model, Boys Town is seeking candidates with both psychiatric-mental health nursing and current in-patient management experience. As a member of the behavioral health senior leadership team, you will not only participate in the design of the child/adolescent inpatient program, you will be “on the ground floor” in building your treatment team by interviewing, hiring and onboarding new staff.
Minimum Qualifications for this job include:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited School/College of Nursing. A Master of Science degree in Nursing Administration, a BSN with a Master’s degree in Business or Health Administration or equivalent degree is preferred
Current unencumbered licensure as an RN in the state of Nebraska, or eligibility for licensure
Minimum of 5 years of experience in psychiatric nursing, at least 3 years of which are in an in-patient psychiatric setting preferably with child/adolescent experience
Minimum of 3 years of recent management experience
Evidence of strong collaborative/teamwork skills to motivate staff at all levels within the team
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with the interprofessional team
The Director will maintain accountability for the achievement of organizational, clinical, and cost outcomes by ensuring that quality care is being delivered by all team members on a 24-hour basis. The Director will be responsible for the hiring, on-boarding, evaluation, and performance improvement, program accountability, and assuring compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditory standards. Responsibilities also include budget preparation and implementation as well as effective resource utilization. As a member of the senior leadership team, the Director will work closely with the interprofessional team to support and further the mission, vision and goals of Boys Town National Research Hospital (BTNRH) and Father Flanagan’s Boys Home.
