Job Summary/Purpose: Reporting to Ultrasound Coordinator and under general physician supervision, the Perinatal Sonographer II performs advanced level obstetrical and gynecological diagnostic ultrasound procedures.
Minimum Training and Education: Graduation from a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography; or high school diploma or GED and clinical ultrasound/vascular experience as approved by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Obstetrics and Gynecology (RDMS OB/GYN) granted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and NT credential required and remain in good standing. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
