Under the general direction of the Behavioral Health Medical Director will be responsible for providing psychotherapy to youth and their families on an outpatient basis which includes but is not limited to individual and family therapy. In accordance with the outpatient services' policies and procedures manual, this position is responsible for completing initial assessments, developing and reviewing treatment plans, completing necessary documentation in a timely manner, and devising discharge plans that are appropriate.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm; some flexibility as needed to meet patients/clients needs.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
1) Master's degree in counseling or social work, preferred, 2) must be certified by the State Department of Health as a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, 3) must have clinical experience working with children and adolescents and their families in the context of individual and family therapy, 4) must possess knowledge of the behavior health and have current knowledge of community resources, 5) requires excellent interpersonal skills and written communication skills, 6) ability to work flexible schedule in order to reasonably accommodate the needs of youth and families served, 7) PEM training within 6 months of hire, and 8) must receive CPR certification and training in nationally recognized personal restraint model obtained during Preservice.
