The CEO shall have the authority to oversee and be responsible for the administration of day to day management of Perkins County Health Services, consistent with policies and orders that the Board of Directors may adopt. Local, Regional, and/or national travel on an as-needed basis to conduct official health system business or continuing education is required.
Minimum of a BS or BA in Healthcare Services/Business Administration or a clinical field required. Master’s Degree preferred. Must have a minimum of three years of C-Suite level experience in a hospital setting; Critical Access leadership experience preferred. Experience with physician recruitment and expansion projects highly desirable.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for fully carrying out the policies established by the Board of Directors and shall keep the interests of Perkins County Health Services as the first and paramount concern.
Works with the Medical Staff and all those concerned with the rendering of potential services in the hospital to the end that the best care possible may be rendered to all the patients.
Represents the hospital before all licensure, regulatory, accrediting, and reimbursement agencies.
Serve as direct liaison with governing board members or any of its committees and the medical staff and the hospital departments.
Serve as direct liaison with governing board members or any of its committees between Perkins County Health Services and the community.
Responsible for representing Perkins County Health Services locally, regionally, and nationally at public and/or private events. Included but not limited to foundation events, state hospital association meetings, national healthcare association meetings, etc.
